Pre-Employment Cleaning/Maintenance

Routine/non-routine waste, H&S for cleaning/support services, maintenance of external surfaces, COSHH, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, First Aid.

Scaffolding

Topics covered include: All relevant legislation, scaffold design, fall prevention and protection when scaffolding, different types of scaffolding, working platforms, guard rails, protection to the public and scaffolding in a public place etc

Telehandler

A range of health and safety regulations and procedures as well as the vital terminology that an operator needs to know. The course will also teach the attendee how to safely operate the telescopic handler in a range of scenarios.

Mini Crane

Plant training includes Practical and theory covering a range of health and safety regulations and procedures as well as the vital terminology that an operator needs to know. The course will also teach the attendee how to safely operate the plant machinery in a range of scenarios

Forward Tipping Dump Truck

CSR

Health & Safety at Work Legislation, Accident reporting & Emergency Procedures, Accident Prevention / Statistics, Manual Handling / Working at Heights, Personal Protective Equipment / COSHH / Noise & Vibration, Working with Electricity – Underground & Overhead Services, Safe use of Hand Held Equipment & Tools & Safe use of Site Vehicles & Excavations / Confined Spaces.

The qualification is the approved and certified course of the CEF. The course will contain construction specific examples/case studies to increase candidate learning experience. All successful participants (following successful completion of a multiple-choice exam) will be provided with a certificate and card

Manual Handling

Half day course delivered in college by H&S trainers. This course is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training.
